Hi!
I have a prado with 2" lifted springs in the front, and I need new struts. Being IFS, I'd assume that the up and down travel limits haven't changed. Does that mean the strut geometry would still be standard, ie I should shop around for struts that would suit a standard prado?
(KYB's for $250... that doesn't seem too bad... I'll shop around some more first.)
If I do need longer struts, should I just ask at the shops for "struts to suit a prado with 2" lift?"
Thanks!

the struts in a prado should work on a 2 to 1 basis. this means if the strut has 20mm extra travel that will equate to 40mm at the wheel. kyb or ome for my money.

That's some big changes, how do i achieve that travel out of mine.joeblow wrote:if the strut has 20mm extra travel that will equate to 400mm at the wheel.
One major thing you have to remember is the upper ball joint. It's you're biggest limiting factor of down travel. You'll max it's limits out before any aftermarket strut.
If God did not intend for us to eat animals, then why did he make them out of meat?
I was thinking along those lines, ie that the travel limits would be set by components other than the strut / spring combo.r0ck_m0nkey wrote: One major thing you have to remember is the upper ball joint.
