if you get the manual 1, i think it will yes ! As always with a bit of work. I had a 92 manual and they look about the same. Sometimes the transfer lever can be off set more in the early ones. Take some pics and a tape measure & wonder around the scrappers. good luck..

How late model console were you thinking? If you are thinking post 86 model then it might fit over it but probably not a straight bolt in as the floor/hump is different as is the handbrake setup (unless you are running the later model handbrake as well and you probably will be with that box and transfer). May need you to booty fab some mounting brackets for that console to fit.

A centre console from a 1984 or 85 phase 2 might fit up alright but again I think the floor/hump is different. Worth looking into. How did they fit the LT77? Did they use the floor centre section from a phase 2? If they did then get one of those centre consoles.

Another thing to consider is the later post 86 consoles are made of a crappy plastic material and are usually shot to sh*t by now.

Good luck.

EDIT: How's that ... nobody responds so I thought I would try to help out and old mate above posts within 1 minute of me after the post has been sitting here for a week
