Hi all,I have a 3" lift fitted to my GU wagon,what are the difference between the following please,

Offset bush's + Drop boxes,arms

Do they do the same thing,is there an easier option

Ideas,ease of fitment,feedback is welcomed.

When you lift the truck it rotates the diff which changes your castor angle. Offset radius arm bushes, drop boxes and drop radius arms are all designed to rotate your diff back to the standard castor angle. The problem with the offset bushes is they flex worse than standard. Drop boxes are an easy fix but some people don't like that they hang lower than the chassis and can get hung up. Drop arms are more expensive and still don't improve flex and some will tell you they don't allow the suspension to compress as easy as drop boxes due to the pivot point being higher. The cheapest and easiest option is drop boxes but I think the most factory looking and best option is drop arms if you are willing to spend the money. Hope this helps.

Pretty much aggree with what Nelso said.

Rubber castor correction bushes are what people usually buy. They flex pretty good. They have a 2 degree correction which is a degress less then perfect for a 3" lift but still way better then poly bushes. They cost $170 but you have to allow for pressing them in and out.

Drop Boxes will give the best correction but do sit down at the chassis end and will give the best flex. We can sell slotted bushes that flex up very well.

You have your dropped radius arms which will ride nicer then castor correction bushes but not quite as good as drop boxes.

If you use Superiors Superflex arms they will give heaps of flex.

Looking at your location, unless theres rockcrawling going on there with the truck, either drop boxes, which fix the bush bind issues, and location of the rears, meaning you can keep std castor bushes, is the ideal fix, or adding some Super Pro 3 deg bushes, which are a bit stiffer than OE bushes, but if your doing lots of high speed offroad up there on dirt roads more than anything, would be the sensible long term approach for durability.

Arms fix the bush wear issue of taller lifts, but dont fix the geometry any better than bushes do.
