Hey guys,

Planning to do a body lift on my 1992 lwb paj, and was wondering what should i do 2,3 or 4 inch body lift??? I was thinking 3 because i would be able to fit bigger tyres which im planning on buying some soon. Just looking for some advise to what you guys recommend?

I would say max 2"

Otherwise things get hard, radiator, brake hoses, steering shaft, fuel tank, selector lever.

thanks for the tips so far guys, nd 6inch lift??? :D howes the stability of the car at that point??? also for 6inch besides brake lines, radiator, fuel lines... what else has to be extended???

He's only joking about the 6in lift, it would make the vehicle absolutely undriveable on any type of cross slope and useless offroad.

Question is why do you want to body lift the vehicle? What size tyres are you going to run under it? With a 2in set of raised coils and the torsion bars cranked you can fit 33s under a 2nd gen Pajero.

I'll probably get criticised for saying this on a forum where most people come for info on putting 10in coils under their Cruisers, but build the truck as low as possible for the tyres you want to run. That way it'll be as stable as possible.

Massive lifted trucks are for posers who never actually drive offroad.

a penis extension is normally easier, are u planning on wheeling it offroad? or pure wank factor? seeing as 35"s are a mission to fit, u have to keep in mind cv strength as well

yea planning on doing some serious offroad not just for show, Yea i thought about the CV stength as well and still wondering if it will hold?? what do you reckon??

37's on a Paj is a stupid idea IMO.

Pajero's dont flex, have weak CV's, and even with a 6" body lift which will be a HUGE job, you'll still get outdriven by a patrol with 33's and 2" lift.

(and I OWN a pajero)

37s would need GQ axles for sure. Not an impossible job, it's been done, but fawkin involved.

Hate to sound like a dick, but if you have to ask, you probably can't do it yourself.

Yeah standard axles wouldn't be up to it. If anything it would be downright dangerous when they snap on you unexpectantly.
