just needing to kno if 12.5" wide 33's is to wide for a 2" or 3" lift kit and cut flares?? sumitomo serengetti are the tyres i want for my disco 1

no I dnt think so. if you go a 2 inch coil lift and use the LRA flare, it should be fine. The LRA flare raises the guard height by 2 inches I beleive so it looks like you will have a 4 inch lift if that makes sense

well thats wat im about to do..2 inch coil lift with the LRA flares..so you reckon a 12.5 inch wide tyre will go alright? was concerned about the tyre arubbing about in the wheel well..do they rub in full lock??

Yeah, they will probably rub on full lock with what ever rim you use. that can be fixed with adjusting the stoppers on the front, I think they were on the swivel hubs. I had to adjust mine, just enlarges the turning circle a tad but nothing to worry about.

I have seen a D1 with just a 2 inch lift and 33/12.5/15s and they fitted okay but really need the flare just to cover the wheels, protect the body work when offroading and enlargen the wheel arch. the wheel arches are so dam small on the D1 ;)

Get the right offset rims and you can keep your turning circle without adjusting steering stops
