hey guys heres a few pics of my dads old fj55 that we grew up with!!
it was running a ford cleveland V8 & 60 series running gear, & was fully restored when he sold it about 8-10 years ago & it went to sydney!!
just curious if its still around??

there is one down here in hobart that looks remarkebly like that, only it doesnt have a suroof so i doubt its the same... but has same paint job and the bonnet scoops look simmiler...

think they were asking about 20k for it from memory.. could be wrong though.

the 55 up the top almost looks nice....
so many of them are ugly feral machines.
i have no doubt the designer of the 55 was sent by my toyota to the sahara to handfeed the lions. the only ugly cruiser made.

Yeah poor bloke would have died of boredom/thirst before he encountered the elusive Sahara Desert Lion.

But I agree, while I hate the 55 shape, that one looks pretty sweet.

That badge on the front must have been brand new at the time.

Looks great, at that time, that was pretty heavily modified. :cool:

im going to go out on a limb here and say that the rig in the pics that gq351 put up looks great. Its not ugly through my eyes, allthough I am bloody tired at the moment. Im not sure what it is but I have a soft spot for the 55s.
Jabber gone. Now have 98 nissan terrano and a 94 4.2ldiesel rv troopy on 33s slowly getting the fancy bits. How the hell do I change my user name?
