fender trimming is what you require now to fit them.

Buy the IFS 1" ball joint lift kit i have in forsale (sorry, shamless, blatant plug) and then you need to adjust the small ridge in the rear of the front guard area with a large hammer.

As to whether it is worth it, as many stories for as there are against, your biggest problem now will probably be R&P breakages

Have a search for member threads by nemesis, twisty, dougster; from which you should lead of to a few others that have all fitted 35's to IFS 4runner/lux/surf :D
Cheers,
Dan.

I ran 35s on my 98 with 2" body lift and 1.5" suspension lift, removed the mudflaps and took to some of the inner area with a grinder and hammer. Ryano from Fourbys did some magic with the castor etc and it worked fine. No scrubbing on road at all, off road they used to hit the rear of the cab in front of the rear wheel on uptravel, and in the front on full stuff touch the flare.

I also never broke a r+p even with the V8 learn to drive to the cars weaknesses and its fine. (Dont use loud pedal when wheels are not on the ground)
