because i want to use 4.6 ratios. 4.1s suck with 37"s. 4.3s are to high and 4.8s to high and from what ive read sound weak as well.

Or fit a 4.56 gearset, just a tad easier.

I don't get it, is my post not there?

You said you want to use the Patrol diff, the only reason being to run 4.6 ratios. So why wouldn't you just fit a 4.6 ratio cruiser center into your cruiser diff? :?

Nemesis cheers for that link. sorry i wasn't ignoring your reply i have been thinking long and hard on yukon gears. the price is comparable to nissan gears but was hoping to use my rear locker and ratios in the gq's.( to try and save some money) and to get my value out of it.(have rebuilt it twice in two years.) i also have gq coil brackets on the chassis end already so it makes it a hard decision.if i could make a 4.6 fit it'd be worth it. still trying to work out what to do. by monday either gq's or 60's will have a new home under my truck. either way i am going backwards for a while and losing my 4.6s cant afford gear sets right now. i have 3 month old twins.

how can 4.3s be too high and 4.8s be too high yet the ratio dividing them 4.6 is ideal?

surely you mean 4.8's are too low?

Not enough width, 55" WMS to WMS from memory, same as cruiser...

I think he wants wider and lower gears??

100 series rear diff and 4.6 gears is the easiest.
hands and mums dont count!!!
