Why not come to Denmark West Oz? Got some really tough gravel roads!
I'll provide red cordial and fairy bread for everyone, might even get my mum to make some sausage rolls!!!!!

Just had to add my bit, wish i could come over your way, but two weeks travel for one weekend sounds a bit :?

I'm thinking any Suzuki so Ljs, Sierra, Vitaras stock to fully built, buggies too as long as they are Suzuki based. Just trying to make it something a bit different than a 4wd gathering. The Yanks have been doing a similar thing called Zookimelt, we have tried to organise something but has always fallen thru but this site allows a bit better communication to get something happening

So is it meant to be a competition Grimbo?

Fill us in on your proposed theory for what the format of the day / weekend would be?

i.e. trail runs, trials, day drives?

I was thinking more of a fun weekend. From what I gather the property has acres of obstacles to be driven. By having it as a comp it means there are all sorts of insurance issues but if it is a camping weekend with some 4wheeling then it would be easier to organise. I'm sure impromptu gauntlets can occur.

This would also allow the stockers to participate without feeling out of their depths.

I was thinking probably around October as it allows time to organise, Berridale will be #$$%%^^ cold during winter and time to maybe organise some coverage with a certain magazine and maybe even try and rustle up some sponsorship.

There would be some sort of fee involved for the use of the property so the owner can cover any costs he may have

Would the fairy bread be made with hundreds and thousands, or chocolate sprinkles?

because if it was the hundreds and thousands - i'm somewhat tempted

I'm happy with this format - sounds good... so long as the owner of the property has a chance to point out what they do / don't want driven...

We could always take along some cones for the guantlet throwing - so it should be good value either way... good for spectating, good for driving etc...

From an organisational point of view then...

If it's in october, when will we know what weekend, what costs etc... and also, are you going to be heading out there to confirm that this is going to be a good place to be?

now are you refering to the little round hundreds and thousands or the longer tube shaped ones .. (no prallels i think is their real name) I could be tempted ... That combined with red cordial .. will be a blast .... :onfire:

We will probably have to rely on getting info from Wendle about the property. It also seems that Sam has been there too. As to getting all the details hold your horses. I have started the ball rolling will see what starts to happen. Will also need a small commitee to help withthings. Just a couple of people to help spread the headache around.

i don't think it's working as well as you think since i am replying to every post you are putting up :D

Uni holidays (closest to october) are likely to be the same weekend as the AFL grand final in september (or thereabouts)... - well - at least that is when the school holidays are right?

Fair enough - i guess the important thing is to confirm that there will be stuff to drive there for everyone of every level... and also, will there be enough stuff there to drive for a full 1 or 2 days worth of driving etc...

Commitee? I nominate Grimbo to do all committee work - can anyone second this nomination?

Nice - i'd forgotten all about those shiny chrome coloured ball bearing ones... strange that i can't remember eating all those high sugar content treats - perhaps sugar is the 5 year olds equivillent of beer? :? It makes you do silly things, and you can't remember doing them. :)

would you stopping answering everything I type.

I have just asked the owner what the scope is like for two days of driving. I think we will be surpised at how much driving we can do on rock as it is so new to a lot of us.

I'll also ask Wendle what his thoughts are and if he can post some more pics from there

I nominate greg and Redzook just for the fireworks when they finally meet ;)
