Nolathane, rubber, in fact anything that is an insulator should do the trick.

Maybe even a cork gasket?

Go to an exhaust shop and get a section of the ford manifold heat shield material, they would have them from any falcon 6 cyl they had fitted an exhaust too.

Cheap, and works great, can layer it too.

Supercharged 4.5's go great, nearly as good as turbo ones ;)

[Have a supercharged one now, had a turbo intercooled one]

Supercharger was about 7grand, had water to air inter cooler made 2.5grand , extractors ( coated) exhaust system, Auto box beefed up,
Dynoed twice, because i wanted smaller pully on charger for more boost. All up 13 to 14 grand. Have had a few problems with heat ,fitted bonnet scoop , and water sprays . i think it is under control know.

The ACL GTR Heatshield stuff is the go, you can even buy it at Supercheap.

This stuff (off ebay)

I have one layer bent over my stainless extractors, after driving I can touch the material with bare hands.
