but if your 17 and on a low wage torsion bars are cheap and easy way to lift a 4x4....

thats more the point i am trying to make as alot of people ask about torsion bars for a CHEAP option.

btw your surf looks like it just came out of the car yard the photos are taken in..... just thought i would let you know.

Good stuff Joel, there is no easier lift on any car than torsion bars, 33x12.5's went on mine with ease with a wind up, to fit 35's i'd need to do only a minimal guard chop, maybe 20mm at the rear of the wheel arch to clear them at full articulation... I could probably tap it back that far with a hammer, which is what I'd prefer to do anyway as to keep a low centre of gravity so I don't topple over at the slightest hint of sideways slope.

cheers xagtho :D

well 2.5" should cover me i think .. as you said it fits 33's fine with a lift,
so i am getting 285/75/r16 i think that converts to around 33" mark im guessing the same as your 33/12.5 /r15 i would have liked to get a set off 15" sun rims but i rushed into it too early and just orderd my R16

i just think the 15" makes the tyre look a bit bigger.

any way cheers for the heads up ill take some pics tomorrow when my tyres arrive and get fitted, and post them up so keep an eye out.

o and i went the kumoh kl71's they look mean + i got them for $200au thats half price. pretty stoked.

joel. :P
