Who does a good deal on tyres in Melbourne or surrounds?
Im needing a set of tyres for my patrol and im wondering where is the best, actually the cheapest place to get some? (easier to justify to the mrs!) Im thinking either Goodyear wranglers, BFG KM2's or a set of Mickey T's in 315/75/16's (are they to big for a standard steel GU rim?)
Where do you guys get your tyres? here in country vic they seem pretty dear so it might be worth a trip to Melb!

What's expensive? I got a set of MTZs in 305/70/16 for $330 a tyre about 18 months ago. 315s were about $350 i think and that was the best deal I could find.Spaceballs wrote:Im needing a set of tyres for my patrol and im wondering where is the best, actually the cheapest place to get some? Beaurepairs in Clayton did right by me few days before the price rise, $50per cheaper than other places.

exactly. the tires that werew in stock were cheaper.T_Diesel wrote: That would be our depreciating Aussie dollar!!!
be scared when you go to buy your next set.. some people are quoting $100 per more than last time
Best price I got was Lindsay's Tyres, but the guy down the road was $10 more for the set so I went with that as it woulda cost that in fuel & effort to get over too Lindsays.
Lindsays were Lots cheaper than everywhere else I tried, including Widetread, which is a shame as they were always the best near me.
