hi guys im keen on getting into a 4by very soon i have seen a couple of runners im keen on but not to many hilux's whats the common problems assicoated with these cars

i have a budget of around 8k for a car

yeah, I would steer away from the 3ltr V6's, go with one of the 5L Diesel surfs. I like the 2doors cause there more rare. The 2door one has a 5L turbo diesel. I asked the bloke when he has it on fleabay.

A 5L is not factory in Surf's but does bolt in easily if a manual and goes better than a 2LTE.
Add a CT26 (2LTE's run a CT20) + the rest of the turbo manifolds and your on a real winner !!!
