Like the others said it's ok to remove leaves but depending on your vehicles weight & it use will depend on which leaves & how many. As for the tail shafts I use a mob in wollongong called Daniel engineering 02 42262911.
it's never a problem until it can't be fixed, even then it' only a minor set back
Im here for the sausage!
so are your tail shafts falling out or is it a case of its too tall now?
you can just get your shafts extended abit.
i use hardie spicer for my shafts. i got 3 done last week for $395.
i just take the old ones in and say ok i need these 2 shortened and this 1 lengthened(i run a 2piece)
a "custom" tailshaft is normally close to a grand.
unless you have a huge angle in the uni you want to fix in which case your up for $$ , but if you remove leaves your truck will sit abit lower which might help your cause.

I had a complete custom lengthened rear made for my 40 for $400 from www.drivelineservices.com.au (here in Melb though). They do a full reco for about $200 of your current shaft (that's 2 x uni's and balancing) I have fitted a 60 double cardin up front on mine as the angle is completely shite on my springover.
