81 hilux-1UZ-FE???

does eny one no what is needed to fit the 1uz(4.0 quad cam v8) into a hilux i no that i will need enigne mounts but does eny one no who makes adapter plates to the 5 speed hilux box and how much $$$$$ ??? Thanks all..

if u drive it accordingly it should be ok...if u wanna dump the clutch every take off i cant see it holding up

if you can afford it go the bigger box from the v6 surfs/ 4 ruuners or even the dyna box
castlemaine rod shop and dellows do conversion kits for these set ups.
if you can get the uzs131 crown front cut as it runs the seperate computer for the trans and engine and is much simpler as far as wiring goes

You have to pick your half cut carefully, you need the 1uz with the headers that hug the motor or custom jobs will be needed or to source seme tight hugging pipes

4.0 1uz's twin dizzys, water = no no.

The w58 box is your best bang for buck box, came from early supras etc, will cop a fair hiding torque wise.

theres alot of boxs that will mate to the transfer and motor, some with adaptors some straight bolt in, theres pages and pages of info out there for the hilux conversion on this forum, lextreme and toymods just to start with.

search. isnt realy much different to any other hilux, plenty of builds here and on lextreme. crs and dellows are you best bet for kits

my 1uz is the best motor ive had in water (diesel aside), and is very easy to water proof if you know what your doing.
