would have been better if they had the other end open aswell.. but i spose that would need another guard sitting there...

it got a little annoying having to walk the long way around each time.. (i was in the officials area opposite the showers)

that's abit hard when they steal your 200L esky full of grog on sat night!!! on that note if anyone knows 'anyone' that has just stumbled across a light blue 200L poly esky, please PM me.

The brand was Evakool I beleive.
ow yeah, and dont forget the steaks that were in it aswell.

Would be nice to have a better outcome, would make me feel a lot better about the 7 odd cartons of piss (in cans) that went missing along with it.

Well done Team Mog .It was great to see something different out on the courses. lots of people want to use the parts out of a mog, it was good to see how a complete unit went.

this was my third ttc and as usual we had a great weekend there was definatly more numbers than the last two years and i might say that camping at the base of feral hill we didnt have too much trouble with the ferals, there was a crowd behind us that never moved off the back of their ute all weekend they were just there for the piss up, and we thought the antics were amusing , there was the bloke with the turbo gu revving the tits off it behind us we were waiting for number one piston to come through the bonnet, the streaker with the shaved head who got tackled by a bloke i must say the hit made blocker roach look like he was a Hmm well done the tackler, a dude that stumbled into our camp off chops thanks tappo you were a funny f@#$%^r, the bloke who chucked his guts after his four or so can beer bong, we had a laugh the only down side for us was the wanker in the jacked up forty who decided to break traction in front of our camp covering my prime t bone with dust, i do feel sorry for the victims of ttc the bloke i read earlier whose esky got knocked off what a low act, however there was two days of top driving with some great rigs on some very hard courses, peter antanac made them look easy and there were a few first timers i enjoyed watching go round car 14 a virgin 4 cvs, a radiator, and an engine full of crap, well done to you bud for having a go i bet he learned a thing or two, all i can say is dont let the yobs get you down there always gonna be there enjoy it for what it is the premier 4wd event in this country. it was my young blokes first time they had a ball and cant wait for next year to come around see you all there.

In regards to Tuff Truck this year as a spectator i think they needed to change the name to Tuff Buggy. I dont know about everyone else but i feel a full chassis vehicles ONLY should race in a Tuff TRUCK event as we all know Buggys are BORING

Great work! But what place did you manage?

Bad luck about the esky, but doubt security would have done anything worthwhile.
My entry to the event was overshadowed by an official that told me and a mate that if we caused any problems or trouble in the family area that Security would kick us out. We chose the family area as we would be able to have an earlier night than if we were camping with the rowdier people in the general camping. Friday night the music from the campers behind us thumped away until at least 2.30am. Saturday night after having to hear the drunk wankers with no shirts on behind us in "the family area of the mud run" trying to pick fights with whoever they could antagonise, one of the ladies in our group informed security and was told 'their is only me on this side what am I suppose to do'. I thought the security was there to preform a duty - hope they didn't get paid for what they didn't achieve. Saturday night after the mud run, I was woken up to the sound of large explosions - well done security - you did a shit job.

You know what, I thought about that on the way home and I reckon it wouldn't do a thing. You'd just have 2000 drunken gate crashers causing havoc next year. Sad to say but I think the alcohol culture is too ingrained into TTC to do anything about it.

We left after the mud Saturday as by the afternoon everyone in camp around us (in the family area at the bottom of the hill) was getting ridiculously rowdy and messy.

TRUE, Drugs are illegal too. I young girl camping across from me in the familly area overdosed on friday night and was taken to the hospital, She was let back in the gates Saturday arvo.

Just got the shock of my life

Team Bandage Bear got third not to shady for its second time out.

And WON one stage out right

Mark has only driven the truck once since last years Tuff Truck,about 6 months ago and it broke another portal so it was parked until last Thursday when Mark picked it up and he didn't even drive it onto the trailer so with a bit of seat time it will be good to see what he can pull out of his hat next year.

To come Third behind Mal and Pete who are two of the top driver in the event and know there cars very well is very very satisfying to me as the builder as I know the car has lots of sorting out and testing and can be made a lot better so hats of to Mark and Mark for putting it on the podium.




On a sad note

Phill Nobel was only 3 point behind Pete going into the mud where he lost his dry sump belt and seized his motor and the motor in that nissan is not stock so the repair bill is going to be taller than a 49'' tire but that it motor sports.

Its just a real shame he done all this $$$$$$$$$$ damage in an event that the points didn't even count in the end what the fock.

So why even have the mud event at all.

They should get CAT or KOMATSU to sponsor the event as that the excavators get more drive time than the Trucks.

Make the mud more drivable and have it timed and that might give all the dick heads something to watch instead getting board and causing trouble.

It would of been good to see the results if Phill's motor didn't shit its self 3 points behind Pete in his BUGGY was a good result for Phill in his FULL BODIED TRUCK on Saturday what a shame.

We camped on the flat right down the front of the family area we had no probs at all and had a great view of the mud from the roof of the countys they make great viewing platforms

yep i thought it was a asthma attack as well as i was at the front gate and they has 2 ambos come in that night one for the asthma attack and one for some guy that drunk too much.....there was also some guy in a ford that had his rear quarter window smashed in the ferrells area...and some guys in a 4wd club that is from the south ran up and down a new commodore

id like to be able to see the trucks as they get worked on and repaired. Maybe next year have all the comp trucks in a row behind a fenced area so spectators can see everyone of them. If possible at night show on a big screen (projector) the highlights of the day .A tally board showing the scores and the events of the day like blown engines and cv,s and roll overs as i was unable to watch every thing at once or keep track

Pete was awsome, big thanks to him for helping me out with equipment etc to allow me to repair my Diff, along with all the guys around my camp and the top bloke from wodonga who rebuilt my diff on the back of a ute and i made it all the way home without any problems

No worrys Screwy, good to hear you made it home in one piece! Its great to see people come together to help out a fellow 4 wheel driver you werent going far with it how it was.

Overall i think the w/e was great apart from a few ferals, but you cant expect none in an event this size. We ended up camping on the hill (not the feral hill) because we were told by the security it was the rowdy section...anyway we made a bit of noise one nite, sorry to the old mate who ripped it up us! Turned out to be a SHARED section not the rowdy like i thought it was other years???

we camped at the foot of the new feral hill, behind the comp fenced off area, i thought it wasnt as feral as last year...but sounds like they were all in the family area. When i went in at about 8 on the friday night, the guy at the bridge said the feral area was already full, but i could go on as i had mates holding a spot for me, and there would be another official directing further up, i didnt see any official after him and there was only the one sign up that i saw pointing out family/general camping.

Rusty, is there any build up/detailed info on Phils GU? by far my favourite of the bigger trucks, shame about the motor.

yeah this was farked as we were camping oppisite to these guys and when we heard we went into lock down everything away locked in cars,
what was the worst part for us is we were back at camp when this happened and we didn't see a thing and no cars or ute had stopped over there so it must of been carried away.
sorry we couldn't give you guys any info and hopefully the outers crew will sorce a bit of info on the where abouts of this then lets lynch the pricks.

Last year at TTC my mates from up here lost at least $400 worth of grog from their camp. They actually opened the back of his 60 series and helped themselves to the contents of a 60ltr weaco Fridge. Luckily they left the fridge.

Banning Alcohol wont stop it compleatly but it would go a long way to making it a more spectator and family friendly event.

yeah we had a mate last yr have his icebox full of grog and food taken in the middle of the night. It was under the awning just o/s the van door. we learnt and locked everythiing in the car, even though the icebox leaked into the carpet, it can be dried out.

i think stop byo alcohol and sell on site with trained security to eject trouble makers as they get louder, sort of have bar areas like speedway and the likes that can have viewing areas and when the tracks finish they can stay there and drink to a curfew.
I don't know about everyone else but when the club closes i genrally go home to bed when theres no more to drink.

great to see more spectator friendly good job from the orgainzers
to many dick heads last year me and my mates (tits out 4x4) coped a fair bit of shit on here about being to loud and drunk when most of the blokes we didnt even no. this year we pulled our heads in. to many drugos out this year and come on guys if you wanna fight buy the dvd and stay home not come to pick fights because you cant handle your cruisers and security should stop having quad races and do there job especially the guard who let a guy inside the mud who then walked over to bbm mad fab holding his door open gettin in the way of the navi trying to get in while the clock was still goin

last year my camera got stolen this year my esky whats next year my truck

also whats the go with throwing full cans of drinks around the crowd at mud rats my mate got hit flat out with a can of bourbon

the can throwing was a disgrace.

But what was a shock to me was seeing a glass bottle come flying in and smashing at the exit of the mud run on sat night...

There was atleast 20 people within a 20 metre radius of the bottle at the time it landed.

That actually pissed me off a bit. The esky and grog being stolen topped it off and ruined the night for me.

All in all i still had a great time, and was good to catch up with some fello OL peeps!
