Unfortunately i did see a team pull out all the rock packing they did after they completed the stage, which was pretty unsportsman like and pretty disappointing to watch.

i thought you had to leave the course as you find it before you start?

i did hear Pete was gunna drive his truck up there and home however he needed somewhere to sleep and he didnt fancy the idea of spooning with Taz in the 40 series so he towed it with his Renegade motorhomespectator wrote:was there any competing vehicles that drove to tuff truck and drove home (no trailer)
i think you are getting confused with Tough Tracks
Why up until a year or so ago DGR used to do it But then you were meant to be a fully engineered and road registered rig so I guess it seems a silly question to ask80lsy gq wrote:i did hear Pete was gunna drive his truck up there and home however he needed somewhere to sleep and he didnt fancy the idea of spooning with Taz in the 40 series so he towed it with his Renegade motorhomespectator wrote:was there any competing vehicles that drove to tuff truck and drove home (no trailer)

Im here for the sausage!
Huge congrats to Nick and Craig, Team Black Betty. Consistent driving all weekend, finishing in 4th place... first 'full body' truck, first non queer steer truck.
Competitors area was much better this year - security worked well here I would say. It was a bit of a pain to have to walk all the way around the compound everytime you went in or out, but it was well worth it.
Mud run was a farce, but I know there will be plenty of feedback on this - hopefully constructive. I don't think any of the competitors think this stage adds much to the weekend. Bring on mud drags...
The crowd, particularly at the mud run, and particularly Sat night, were a discrace. I thought there was going to be a riot - it was as feral as I have seen it. Too many poleaxed 16 year olds shotgunning cans and ruining the experience for everyone else.
Security didn't work here...
I hate to say it, but I reckon a few cops walking around carding people would be a start to adding a little control. Most of the idiots were kids as far as I could tell... at least they were certainly acting like kids. First time drinking for most by the look of it.
The 'no glass' rule was also poorly policed. About half the people I saw were drinking stubbies. Come on people, drink cans for one weekend a year would ya? There were so many broken bottles laying around all over the place it wasn't funny - bloody dangerous.
Other hopefully contructive comments: would be nice to have some leaderboards here and there, maybe for comentators to give running progress scores or something. Post-comp results should be up on the website by the next day... surely it can't be that hard. I have been in mountain bike races with 1500 entrants where the results for every competitor were on the website the day after the event, along with a photo gallery for every competitor, searchable for competitor number or name.
Top weekend - see ya next year... tempted to put another truck together... hmmm...

Has any one got a photo of Team Bandage Bear over that same log as I was told they were lucky that the rear wheels hit the log or Mark would of landed on his roof backwards.
Some one in the crowd had a photo from behind of all 4 wheels above the log and it looked like the car was hanging of a sky hook.

I guess it would have ended up back in your shed again if that happened.rustys wrote:Has any one got a photo of Team Bandage Bear over that same log as I was told they were lucky that the rear wheels hit the log or Mark would of landed on his roof backwards.

What a top weekend. My first Tuff Truck.
Constructive critisim...
I would love to see big screens...but due to the coast factor, as already mentioned, a score borad would be great, constantly updated.
A few more ground crew also mentioned. Especially one in the pits, chatting with teams as they fix their vehicles so we know where they are.
Security that do their job!!!
The blue esky back that was pinched from camp on sat night (ill give it back grimace )
I would also love to watch the mystery night stage, but Im sure you have your reasons!
Question for antunac, hope u got the rest of ur truck back after rolling just one wheel past us late on sunday arvo. In regards to the travel ramp, if you lift the front left off the ground is that then your finishing point? Because it didnt look like you had much left in "track" to keep all wheels on the ground!
This may sound stupid but did you (pete) win the travel ramp with the new scoring system? Would have love to see Noble up there (think he was due for it on sunday morning???) compared to you.
When do we get a full list of placings including scores (and penalties) for each stage? Or is that asking too much?
Thanks to Grimace, Noddy and the boys for letting us stay with them, its a small world out there! As well as the pumpkin entertainment on saturday night. Dont think that mum was too happy behind us though
Got about 4hrs video of the event to sort through...not many pictures though. keep them coming

that was gonna be my next question after Pete mentioned in his reply that the brace on the ramp is what was stopping it from going furthervanbox wrote: In regards to the travel ramp, if you lift the front left off the ground is that then your finishing point? This was my 3rd Tuff Truck and had a great time and yes I will be back next year. Congrads to all the teams for putting on a fantastic show ( some of you guys are nuts). Also to all the officials and workers job well done.
As a lot of members have already stated, Sat night was a huge disapointment and to be honest Friday night was not much better. Coarse too hard, too many stoppages, too boring. Just a suggestion , how about a mud race/drag with two cars racing each other much the same as you see in some rallys ( also like Coopers stadium at LCP). Now THAT would get the crowd going and hopefully stop all the drunken bullshyt.
Thought the new family/feral camp sites worked better then previous years but we still had some ferals who must have gotten lost and ended up next to us ( and pissed & flaked out by 11.00 Friday morning, nothing like pacing your self).
Otherwise a great weekend and can't wait till next year.
