The locker was removed again, this time it was coaxed into misbehaving on the bench, by loosening the seal ring and realigning it, (this was because it had moved itself) every now and again after the centre was rotated it would leak. The journals etc were checked for runout, the seal ring was ok too, but a new seal ring was put in anyway, the id of the new ring was a couple of 'thou larger than the old one and so far it has not leaked again.
In summary the conclusion was that the combined sum of tolerance limits with that collection of parts was the problem. Anyway it may give you a starting point.
Cheers

What a variance in a QUALITY CNC MACHINED UNIT but 4X4 guy told us all that this is impossible! ARB ARE THE ONLY SHIT HE SAID
sounds like you all have been had . YOU ALL must have cheap chineese copies ;)

Might keep my CNC machined lockright at least it works $199 us
It must be a fault in the locker .. not the O-Ring that are churned out by the million from some factory in china useing recycled condoms as the raw material.

What arb using chinese O rings now?? ;)
ok im not saying that arb lockers are shit at all
they do have the best rep in the business but like everone they too have their problems.
if I could justify the cost on a purely off road car id probably run them myself.
what im saying is that 4X4 guy is just an over the top wanker who's obviously full of bullshit and im pretty sure he doent know what CNC machining even is.
He should form an opinion on a product by himself not by reading the back of the box it came in.
