Fitting an Air locker centre

What is involved with fitting a rear air locked centre into a sierra?
It is a complete centre. Do I just need to drill and tap a thread/hole for the air hose, or is there more to it?

Also is it possible to reco airlockers, or get them serviced?

Yes, Drill your housing for the air fitting, swap over to your crownwheel and bolt in.

Should be able to service them...

By the way, im a piker, not aquiring airlocker + diff + axles..Sori..

If the air locker is already installed in a 3rd member and it is working, you just need to swap centres and connect air to it. If you need to install the air locker into your centre then you will have to drill the housing and tap the housing for the bulkhead fitting, strip the centre down and swap the crown wheel onto the air locker, then install it and set the diff up. Then install to the housing, install the axles and check for air leaks.

drain oil, pull axles, swap centers, re install axles, fill with oil.
make sure front is 3.9 as well.
enjoy tight turns and air leaks

I just did the same - gone is the LockRite and all those noises. Once the locker was fitted though I had to remove 10 mm from each axle before they would snug up. Anyone else have that happen?

ahhh....no. could the ends of the axle have been a little damaged from the lockwrong?

Nothing wrong with the splines. Took 10mm off long side, 5 mm off short side.
