rebuilding Leaf packs

Post by thehanko »

Hi Guys,

im playing with a set of leafs to try to get the front end working the way I want it to.

I'm trying in vain to get the center bolt off the old springs and whilst i will let it soak over night with wd40, im really not seing it come undone.

could i just cut it off with a grinder and replace it with a high tensile bolt with an allen key head (so its still round to fit into the locator hole)?

or is even normal bolts ok seeing as the u bolts hold it all together on the vehicle.
