issue with mk1 gti into sierra??

Post by jonno_racing »

Hey guys i have put a mk1 Gti motor in to my sierra.

i have just about finished the conversin but haveing issues..

i am useing a sierra distributor and coil with a signal wire from the earth of the coil to the computer.

i used a complete mk1 gti loom, and striped out everything not required for the fuel system, ran new, earths, power, staring switch wire, ign power, coil signal wire, temp sender. this is all ran corectly acording to the wiring driagram form the mk1 manual.

the car cranks and the computer switches on, but i am not geting any injector pulse, i have checked and doubble checked all wiring, and it all appears to be fine..

is there anything i am missing??? it is a late moddle sierra with a slightly difrent coil than a older one or a mk1 gti but i beleve the way they work is the same.

i have checked the computer codes and it all comes up fine!

any help would be apreciated

to get injecter pulse everything has to be hooked up to complete the circuit. i didnt have a coolant temp sendor in mine at the start and coul'nt get pulse. just keep working on it, you'll get their in the end.
