I have thought for a long time about the "heavier tyre" thing .. on level ground you would have alower COG but once tipped up you have an equal mass on both sides of the vehcile so they would cancel each other out to some extent .. plus if yu come up a bit quick .. you have all that extra mass/inertia to pull/push you over ..
If you considerably wider and heavier that would lower your COG would be lower once moving ..

Note: the car sits a good inch and a bit taller now due to the lighter body (this also means the rear cannot be compressed onto it's bump stops anymore). I plan to remove some more leaves from the spring packs in early january - i'll update the details once this is done.

So I guess all the people who say spring overs are no good because they roll easier must be WRONG . I am sure Tims springs are softer as well so his would rid a lot smoother and more comfortable.

I guess the best way to measure the cog test would be to jack the car up under it's tyres until it falls over - this would tell you the max angles it can drive, and also where the cog is. you could then repeat the test front to back etc..
My Zook is still bog stock so i guess i can try to answer the original question.
It is a 83 model so it does include a bit of sag.. 120 mm from top of axle to chassis rail in the rear.
100 mm from top of axle to chassis rail in the front.
Thats with the stock wheels and standard size tyres ,not that that effects it.
So does this mean that my zook must be rare cause its still stock..? so can someone pay big dollars for it cause its a collectors item

As promised, i got out the trusty tape measure and checked the new measurements now that the winch is on the front and two leaves have been removed from the rear springs.
New distances are exactly 1" less than before (both at front and rear). So:
Rear - 6" (axel to chassis)
Front - 5" (axel to bump stop mount (not the bump stop))
Sounds about the same as mine up front gerg mine is taller in the back tho ... ( will measure tommorow on the way home from work )

in the rear my measurement was 240 yours was 152
240 - 152 = 88 mm
yours has a 2 inch body lift (50mm)
88 - 50 = 38 mm
you have 34's compared to my 31's if the measure what they say yours will give u 37.5mm more lift then mine
38 - 37.5 = .5 mm
so u have .5 mm less lift then me hope i worked that out alright
but i have since got the exo wich makes mine sit lower again
its ok greg u cant win everything
so mine flexs better
has more clearance under the diffs
is lower rides better/smoother
now i know why u love sua it makes an easy trail hard

I never used the garage for the zook coz it was too tall, I blame that for the junk building up.
