Darwin: Welding needed

Post by cocacola-light »

Hi guys,
I'm a traveller from Germany and enoying your beautiful country. Unfortunately the corrugation on the dirt roads have destroyed my spare wheel holder. There is some welding neeed to fix it. Anybody in Dawrin who could help me out? I would spring some beers ;)
Cheers

Timm, I'm sorry to hear that you're in need of repairs, and I can't help (but I would if I could), but I'm beginning to feel I'm on this trip with you.

I demand you start a "trips and tracks" thread, with link in your signature, and keep us updated of your progress - I want pics! :D

Good luck, and keep us updated.

When we were passing through three-ways, the old jag had dropped half its exhaust after we had no choice but to go over an already-dead roo (aimed it through the middle of the undercarriage, if that makes sense). We held it roughly in place with some fencing wire.

We walked into the pub at three-ways, stood at the end of the bar and shouted, "has anyone here got a welder?"

Job was done that night! I think it cost us fifty bucks.

I am not necessarily saying this would be wise in Darwin though :)

Sorry it's no help, but frohe Ostern! ;)

Is there nobody with a welder in Darwin? It's not only for the money, I also like to meet some real Australians

btw: Is there any 4WD track open around Darwin?
