U-Bolt Flip in a Lux

Post by Weiner »

Hi guys,

Just got my u-bolt flip kit from superior and wondering what I do with the bumpstop, can I cut up the original one and mount it on the new plate?

What have other people done?

Cheers.

I just welded mine to the plate I had to drill the hole in the centre of the bottom of the bump stop a bit deeper so the centre bolt of the spring could fit in

I got the u-bolts in and am wondering is this what they are meant to look like?

I used a rattle gun and they are torqued up pretty high.

Thanks.

Do doesn't matter if the bottom of the u-bolt touches or not, they are tight just needed a 2nd opinion :)

More clearance, I figure I was going to the trouble of the high steer setup, I may as well do the flip while I was at it.

Yeah have to have hi steer to fit it otherwise the the draglink on the standard steering will hit the u bolt thread.
