Have you had a check over the car for any loose signal wires or connectors? Has anything else obvious changed on the car at the same time (fuel consumption, any electronic accessories)?
Sometimes the engine fault light can be triggered by the most minor things.
There was a fault with the earlier TB48 that caused the engine to go into limp home mode that required both of the O2 sensors to be replaced & the ecu reprogrammed. It was a fairly common fault but I cant remember off the top of my head the code that was logged as it has been a while since I have had to do this.

as previously stated 02 sensor , Electronic throttle models... remove both o2 sensors , cleans threads on them both and re install and disconect battery , you can replace the dear as posion sensors but cleaning them can work just as well... dont damage the sensor but.
Beep. Beep. Beep.. Whats that sound? Oh Look Its Just Another ZD30 On A Tow Truck.. =)
What torque? Tighten it till it strips and then back it off half a turn.
Yes it is an earthing problem, But just cleaning the threads tends to make them corrode more reguarly. There is also an ECU reprogramme that should be done that will stop the problem from reoccurring again.
