HJ60 warning lights after water crossing

Post by cocacola-light »

Hi.
I crossed today Cahills Crossing in the Kakadu Park. I did a lot of water crossings before but always with water only to the side steps. This time it was a little higher (but I have a snorkel). In the middle of the river some warning lights flashed up. The batterie light, the orange light next to the 4WD and the orange light underneath the rev meter (the one with some arrows).

5 seconds out of the water, everything went back to normal.

Is that normal or do I have a problem?

Cheers

It would be the alternator telling you its got mud/water/crap in it so it can't charge properly.

So long as they not on now, should be fine.

Crud in the brushes.

If it happens again pull them out and clean or replace if necessary.
