picking up a 97 2wd hilux tub off a mate in a couple of weeks, whats going to be need to bolt it on to my 93 4wd hilux? they are both single cabs.

i have heard the middle mounts dont line up but other wise they bolt up fine.

is this true?

Early or late 97?

As long as they are the same generation it will bolt straight up. If its the next gen then your going to have issues. Not only with the mounting points but the body lines dont match up either. It can be and has been done but I think they look but ugly when done.

My lux as i bought it

Image

Had a 03 tub on a 89-early 97 model shape

The front of it had to been cut and tapered in to match the shape of the body.

Image

and yeh, it was missing the middle body bolts and the front mounts had to be redrilled

I think it looked good tho

I have a 97-04 tub on my 90 ln106 s/cab. Front and rear bolts line up, but i had to put a 10mm spacer at the front, and the front of the tub is wider then the rear of the cab. If u want pics just PM me and i will email u some
90's s/cab Lux Styleside running on 31's in need of some love and some fresh colour.
