GU hazards and turn signal issue

Post by BrettInUte »

Had weird issue the other day with my 00 GU wagon 4.2T

Had been doing a bit of towing.
Unhooked and drove out the next day to find indicators were not flashing - just staying on.
I stopped had a look at fuses etc - all looked good.
I thought Id try out the hazzards. they would not do anything.
Then the indicators started working - and have worked perfect since. (including heaps more towing of same trailer)

But hazards are not doing ANYTHING now.

1. Where is the clicker can mounted exactly
2. Is there a separate clicker for turn vs hazards
3. What else can I check for the hazards

Cheers.

there is a seperate fuse in the engine bay for the hazards and if this blows and you have the hazard button pushed the indicators wont work.

bit of a hijack sorry, but when indicating there is a high pitched intermitant squeek in time with the flash from inside the steering column or dash.

Really annoying... everything seems to be working fine, just this noise!! any ideas... i've tried a bit of air in there, but was thinking surely it cant be dust, could it be the flasher on the way out?? I'm stumped
