Brown stain on wheel bearing

Post by user1 »

Hi,
I just changed my wheel bearings and have checked them after about 2000kms.... and noticed that on the outer wheel bearing (the part which sits on the spindle) there are some brown stain colourations on the bearing ... not sure whether this is heat affected or just moisture ... any ideas? it wipes off easily but you can still see a brownish stain mark...
