wheel offset questions URGENT

Post by andy1517 »

guys,

about to buy some new wheels for my motorbike trailer.

I currently have 165mm off backspace from the axle to the spring hanger.

The wheels i am looking at acquiring are 18"x8", with 225 tyres fitted. The offset on the wheels are +35.

Will these wheels fit my Trailer????

should leave about 30mm between rim and spring assuming that the 35mm is from the center line of the rim.

Should put the centreline of the wheel 130mm from the spring. I agree with simkell - about 30mm clearance to the rim, 15 - 20mm to the tyre sidewall.

I would put the inner rim of the wheel about 30 mm from the spring as well, positive offset brings the wheel in closer to the centre of the axle.

Cheers
