3L to 3LTE? using 2LTE EFI gear

Post by VKYOOT »

Hey

Just looking for a simple answer.

Is it possible to use the injector pump/wiring/turbo etc off a 2LTE on a 3L motor to effectively make it a 3LTE?

Thanks

Jon

It will all bolt on, would just be a case of adjusting the injector pump to suit the 3l.

yes BUT its not simple to do.

biggest hassle is the crank sensor. the 3L doesn't have the bump on the piston rods for it. however you can get around that by welding a tag onto the front pulley and mounting the pickup beside it. need to make the pickup adjustable as it will need some fine tuning to get it in the right place.

then you will need to work out how to inject more fuel. tweak pump or bigger injectors etc.
