These are changes to the ARB XWC and EFS XI Rules, backdated to take effect as of Round 1 2009.
Production Rules are correct and are not effected by below.
Wording still has to be finalized, but here it is for all to see.
Chassis:-
Full chassis must be used.
Chassis (wheelbase) can be shortened/lengthened.
Rear of chassis is allowed to be shortened up to the original panhard rod/spring hanger bracket.
Front of chassis can be shortened up to first cross member or first suspension support bracket, which ever comes first.
Body:-
Must look like the manufactures model from the "B" pillar forward.
Accepted changes are half doors and soft tops as per current rules.
Must use original style/size guards. Can be fitted with flares.
Must use original style/size bonnet. Can be fitted with air scoops
Guards and bonnet can be made from:- resign, steel or plastic.
Note that overseas vehicles may be exempt from these rules, pending information from overseas competitors.
It would be in your best interest to contact me before major body/chassis work is carried out. It could save you a lot of money if you want to be able to compete in an Xtreme Event.
JUST REMEMBER IT HAS TO LOOK LIKE THE REAL THING.
Cheers
David
