The difference would be a one piece would go straight from the transfer case to diff with a slip joint, and the two piece has a center bearing, making it a two piece....

Mine has been extended.

for the guys running the LN106 with a 2-3" lift.

The tailshaft from a SINGLE CAB, 2000 model 3.0D hilux is a one piece, and is a direct drop in on the LN106.

Costs around $300 in good nick from a wreckers.
2005 HDJ100 Manual, ARB bar, XD9000 winch, ARB rooftop tent + awning, Drawers, Engel, 2" OME lift, 285/75R16 KM2's, iCom, HID XGT's.

It's not actually,these models came out with a two piece shaft,u must have got lucky with an aftermarket one piece shaft.

yeah- not a bad fluke im gathering! I still need to go back and get my 10 blade fan too.

can do either.

basically a 1 piece shaft runs straight line from transfer to diff, the two pice shaft comes out of the transfer parralell to the ground then goes througha centerbearing on the crossmember then down to the diff its pretty obvious what you have when you look at it. the 2 piece has beter clearance but doesnt like being lifted at all.

my front shaft just has a spacer.

Hey has anyone made up a bracket to lower the centre bearing?can u buy them?
I thought it would be simple to just add spacers but the chassis bolt holes come out on an angle so when its spaced the bolts don't line up,i'm thinking about welding up a bracket to suit..or just buy a one piece tailshaft lol(if i had'nt of spent $200 on new centre bearing and uni joints :cry: )

im in the same boat- spent $110 on a new hardy spicer Centre and it flogged out in 10,000kms... the unis are all brand new too, but the shaft spline is flogged out too.

So now i need to rip my Unis out and keep them- theyre bout 7000kms old!

i have just stripped down a 2004 3.0L diesel and installed the motor into mine and it had a 1 piece which i just got shortened 35mm and now have in my lux....

i was chewing out the centre bearings every 6 months.....

I can imagine spacing it out to the lift you have is the go, i would have done it but after the conversion the 2 piece would not fit (obviously the rear flange is further back on this gearbox and transfer) since i had to lengthen one i decided i may as well do the 1 piece....
