CV circlip- needed or not??

Post by danssurf82 »

i have a 94 vitara independent front, snapped a cv last night.

have spare cv off a 96 model, the shaft is about 4-5mm shorter and i cant put the washer and circlip on it.

should i just leave the washer out and just put the circlip on? or will the circlip just break?

or just leave it off completely??

cheers john

running with out the circlip allows the axle to move in the spindle & allows crap/dirt into the seal/bearings = bad sh!t happens.
