i have a dyna gear box in my lux and have just cracked the housing on the flang where it bolts up to the trannsfers i was just wondering can this be welded or can i buy a new rear housing or is the gear box stuffed

It could be welded but is alot of messing around/caution needed to be taken, would be easier to get a new housing, you'd have to pull the gears etc out of the housing that needs welding anyway.

I dont know what the dyna box is worth complete second hand, might be worth buying a whole new box.

i would'nt be buying a new box unless you really had to because these are a modified dyna box there not just a factory thing. I'm pretty sure the rear part of the housing is a custom thing that you should be able to get from marks 4x4. And i think from memory the complete box is over 2grand.
