Post by Jake GQ.. »

ive got a 1989 gq and it has come to the point where i need a second battery to power all the inportant shit or i will be up shit creek without a paddel. it is a 4.2 petrol i want to keep both batterys under the bonnet i have been told a number of things. the round steel pree cleaner does that have to stay or more to the point would it be a good idea to keep it there any way. if anybody has done this your coments and any pics of the work would be much apreciated cheers jake.

if you put a petrol tray in all the stuff can stay in the oe possie. but the petrol tray only holds a smaller battery than the diesel. i put a diesel in mine and just had to relocate the coil a bit and basically removed most of the intake piping and temp just put it behind the battery tray. still seems to get reasonably clean cool air. i had the intentions of making a custom snorkel to come out there anyway.
hope this helps

Just source one from ARB. Good solid unit at a reasonable price.
