Hi
Looking at gassing a 1HZ when I get one.
Who has what type of gas - which method has anyone had problems with?
I am trying to work out which method would be best, they both state about the same advantages on their web sites.
Cheers Andy

Diesel Gass V D Gas

i went D-GAS and like it.
is it turbo?
issue with the D-GAS is it flows X number of litres per minute for a given boost setting.
which kind of sort of nearly matches the amount of diesel your putting in.
it works in the low RPM alot better than the diesel-gas setup i believe.
im not too up to date on the new diesel-gas stuff, but its still vapour pick up and enters pre-turbo right?
for those two reasons i prefer D-GAS, and cost, mine cost me nothing after rebate coz i was game to install myself, found someone to cert it (not easy) and home tuned it then banged it on my mechanics dyno and played with fueling.
last week my fuel figures were
798 km
81.03 L of diesel
22.76 L of gas
thats 10.15/100km of diesel and 2.85l/100 of gas.
works out at about the same cost as using 11L/100km on straight diesel.
i never managed below 11.5, ever, in 50,000km, even with balder smaller tyres. and im making an arseload more power now
