Opinions on need for flat pitman arm for high steer?

Post by yamaha__308 »

Gday guys,

Im up to the stage of fitting my steering box and im just after some opinions on whether I should use a flat pitman arm or stay with the stock dropped one.

Im running RUF, 1" dropped crossmember.

Here is my mockup for the stock pitman arm, box is pushed as far forward, it probably could be tilted a little more:

And heres the mockup for the flat pitman arm:

Im willing to cut the radiator support to move the box further forward and use the stock arm, but just wanted some advice before I weld it in - dont want to be cutting it out!

Cheers

Try a 80 series pitman arm or 2wd hilux arm.
