smokey 60 series

Post by cruiserordie »

gday guys

i recently finished doing up my 60 and first trip out to cruiser park it got a mouth full of water into the diesel. didnt relize to it started blowing smoke and losing oil pressure, i swaped injecta pumps and dieseltank and all the lines and have flushed the motor out twice with motor flush stuff and putt all new oils and filters on, but still continuese to blow smoke, have been told it might have scum in the bottom of sump and blocking oil pump,so thats my next step! am doing it all myself because i dont have a lot of cash was wondering if anyone had sum ideas or tips on the problem??

cheers amor!

how much grunt does it have comparied to before?
what do you know about the pump you have put back on?
recheck your timing, almost sounds like your timing is out.
did you replace the fuel filter and lift pump on the injector pump as well.
there is a gauze filter at the inlet pipe on the lift pump, check that as well.
hope that helps

sounds like it is burning oil. Maybe you steam cleaned the carbon off the rings and now it doesn't seal as good. Are you sure water went in the tank and not the air intake?
