The rims are called Mach 5 and are steels, they are made in the UK and are primarily sold through Devon 4x4. Although for some reason they dont seem to have them listed on there website at the moment. I would think they would be happy to ship them over but they arent cheap, I think you are looking at around 150 pounds a wheel. There is also an alloy wheel available over here that looks very similar by a company called Zu but I think they are only landrover fitments.

that is what i thought but they are a lot narrower than any bogger i have ever seen. I reckon they would be a great tyre in the mud

The tyres are remoulds. They look like a Bogger because they, well, look like a bogger.

The UK/Europe seems to have similar copyright laws on tyres as China with, well, everything.

The key is that in the UK you can speed rate a tyre for whatever speed you like and so long as you don't exceed that speed it's legal on the road, so there's a huge market for these cheaply produced copy remoulds.

*sorry, just realised steve_f20 correctly ID'ed the rims* - this is what I had written:

As for the rims, they are made MJLee, who is a landrover specialist. Here's the rims:

http://www.devon4x4.com/products_b/p89c ... -8x16.html

I didn't know they were made for Sierra PCD, but there you go. They are a fabricated steel rim made from a plate centre, rolled rim and tube bends. Weird, but cool looking.

There's quite a lot of info about their pro's and cons on the UK forums.

*but as per steve_f20's comments - they don't seem to be currently available? and they'e pretty dear - GBP 150 per rim - golly.

They seem to be back on thier site now (or I wasnt be very observant yesterday). They also used to be avalible for G-Wagens as well. Gwagensteve is correct about the wheels being made by MJLee although I believe he is now only supplies them through Devon. This possibly explains why only the landrover ones are shown, certainly in previous years when you could buy them directly from Matt Lee you could get him to make them with almost any PCD. If you really wanted them for an alternative PCD I would think it would be possible.

The fedima tyres shown are made in Portugal and are remoulded on truck carcesses so they tend to be pretty stiff. They also make a Simex copy and some others, there are a few at http://www.kingoffroad.co.uk/ortyres.html

You are right about the market for remoulds over here, the ones that have become very popular recently are the Insa Turbo Special Track which again is a Simex copy.

There was a long discussion about speed ratings on one of the UK forums recently, I think the conclusion was that the law is pretty vague with the statement being something along the lines of suitable for its intended use. This leaves things open for interpretation.
