Pre Purchase Inspection - Victoria???

Post by Best1 »

Looking to buy a GU and have found one not too far from Warragul that sounds okay, only problem I am in NSW and cant get down that way for a week or two. Is there anyone in the area who might be interested in doing a pre purchase check for a bit of cash or could put me on to someone who might? PM me if you are keen. Cheers.

Thanks guys, I have found someone who is capable and willing to have a look for me. I was going to give the RACV a miss, if they are anything like their NSW counterparts I wouldn't have much faith in their inspections.

Good decision, the r acv imho are no better than a blind man with a cane. I have had cars inspected by them that i was selling and they picked up none of the obvious stuff, let alone the stuff you would hope an expert might find.

There is another mob who used to advertise in the trading post who were really good and thorough, picked up heaps of stuff i missed and i reckon i'm not too bad at pickin a lemon, but i can't remember the name. Good luck with it ;)

I agree, and same with RACQ too. Their inspections are worse than useless.
This is not legal advice.
