TUFF 75 series utes
Come on guys, lets see some pics.
There only seem to be a couple of really tuff ones getting around.
What are the downsides of these trucks that stop them being so popular?
And does anyone paint them in anything but white???
I need some idea's
Show us what ya got...

they are top heavy and the wheel track is relatively narrow and the technology as far as nice bits in the dash, plush seats etc is low and dated
i think thats what stops them being really popular but as a 75 driver myself a troopy that is i would say the running gear is tuff as shizen stock out of the box...i am surprised you dont see more of the utes with v8s coils etc etc and comping myself

oh and i can give you some ideas...manual petrol 1fzfe 165 killerwasps and plenti of the twisty ones called Nm , 2 inch spring lift extended shackles, 2 inch cab lift , front housing moved 15mm forward 44mm offset rims with 35s , arb airlockers f&r , longfields , cut down tray, it will be tough, reliable and there wont be too many spots this puppy wont go ......thats my 2 bobs worth anyway
im a 75 series owner and i think its becuase they are full leaf sprung! But i have seen alot of trucks just recently that are really tuff and go anywhere! The more i look into suspension and the capablities of the 75series the more i love them!
1996 HZJ75RP, DTS turbo with 3inch exhaust, rear locker, MTZs, 2inch shackles, 2 inch custom packs!
You upload the photo to a photo hosting website, such as www.photobucket.comstock.as.arock wrote:ok how do u post pics keen to show yall me and my mates rigs
Then you copy the direct link to that photo that the photo hosting website will provide.
You paste that link into a message here on the forum, and place it inbetween BBCode IMG tags.
This link here shows you how to format the BBCode IMG tags...
http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/faq.php?mode=bbcode#9
If you click the QUOTE icon next to a forum post/reply that already has photos in it, such as one of the replies above in this thread, you will see how the BBCode IMG tags have been used to display the photos.

Although i'm sure that Rob (owner of the yellow one) is gonna give me some stick next time i see him

i just bought mine two weeks ago, its is probably as stock as they can get, it don't even have a bull bar.
there is a high possibility that you will see mine in a comp eventually (depending on how long it takes me to buy the bits an pieces i want/need)
i will be keeping it leaves, and sprung under even if i do, as talking to quite a few people, and having seen quite a few really serious American off road trucks that do really well, that are leaf sprung. i know that they can work, sure you might have to put alot more time and effort into them, but that's ok buy me. and in the end it all comes down to personal choice.
as it sits currently(except it has a set of 33" maxxis bighorns with it at the mechs while its getting roadworthy
plans at the moment are - new tray (if any one knows any one interested in that one let me know) sliders and bull bar.
lockers
35/36s, simex et2s, or tsl boggers
if i can get it approved an exo cage, if not an internal one, and some minor removable external work.
i was going to paint it orange (but after now seeing that other one) i may have to rethink my colors.

Go Hard Or GO Home
it is top heavy but you get use to it i had the 2 inch body left in mine when it was done that was really top heavy but me mates was just normal and no spring lift just standed hight its unstopable can flex anything just got to no when she will be close to rolling we had it very close a few times just 2 wheels on the ground with a rope on the rack with 2 of us holdin it till he drove out i prob wouldnt do it again there is shit everwhere that had to be done the shackels had to be reversed for the engineered catificate when this one i got now gets built im just goin 2 inch spring and 2 inch body and if i want more 2 inch shackels that give me 6inch and thats a inch under wat leaf over gives u its easyer and way less shit you got to go through to do it
