Need a Extreeme clutch for GQ TD42 recommendations please

Post by db1891 »

just got my GQ to make like 170kw at the wheels However my new heavy duty clutch is now slipping and it s only like 3 months 7000km old. Anyway car not for competition will be used as a tow vehicle on the road. what is the biggest and best clutch I can get that is not a brass button . Suggestions anybody especially if you have been through this scenario also as not looking forward to pulling the box out to do the clutch again but alas i must be done looks like mondays job.

The Nissan DGR comp truck has approx 350RWHP and i have a clutch from NPC Performance.
We did had a new allterrain clutch with machined flywheel , first time the Nos was used we smoked the clutch to the rivets with trepadors in a gymkana.
I talked to Nick at NPC and he built me a clutch from a dodge viper, we have raced in at least 10 events since with many recreational trips with and without the NOS with no signs of problems, it acts like a normal clutch and can be slipped.
We use this clutch in rock crawling as well ,so in those situations we are slipping the clutch heaps.
It cost approx 1K but it was over a year ago so it may be dearer now.
That was supply only and you use your flywheel that has to be modded by NPC.
