80 Ser GAS conversion Figures

Post by westie »

My Daughters 80 gas conversion figures are in and it still needs to go back for it's 1000k tune 93 Lt = 400k's.
50/50 Town / Hwy

23.25 Lt Per 100 K's
4.3 K's per 1 Lt

GAS 50 Cents per 4.3k's or $ 11.62 per 100K's or Around $ 120 per 1000K's

Her old Vitara 1.6lt 96 S/Top 10 lt per 100k's @ $1.20 per Lt 1000k's $120 Now that is good for a Cruiser on Gas to cost as much as a Vitara on Petrol Per 1000k's

NOTE: She has a very heavy foot and loves to hear the exhaust note singing. At no means a economical driver. But the is a female trate.

My biggest thing with Gas is that the government is going to start upping the taxes on it soon so it will be taxed the same as petrol.

I guess this is the really reason the govenrment brought in the gas conversion rebate.....money in the bank for the government.

But until they do, you can't beat that sort of economy in a 80.
My diesel 80 used an average 15l/100km
at $1.09 (Avg BNE price) that works out to around $163 per 1000km.
So she's doing well.

my 4.5 litre 80 series uses 90l LPG per 400 - 450 km or roughly 4.5k/l and doesn't vary alot loaded or unloaded.
