how much differance between the 84-85 hilux diff and the 60 seires diffs are there?

are axle splines same size? and able to fit in?

what about bolt pattern? is the 60 larger?

got a guy keep blowing rear diffs and i kinda got a spare one lsd just needs an oil seal and flang on it

and the 60 in question is 83-85 some where

the axle spines are the same, everything else is different. you could potentially graft an entire 60 series axle under a hilux, apart form the offset diff.

60 has a 9 inch (ish) crownwheel, hilux is 8 inch.

maybe guy who keeps blowing diffs needs to learn to drive :)

its a petty hilux 4 cylinder,

is the diesel diff stronger in the hilux? and can it be put into the petty version of the hilux?

I think the V6 diff was revised in the housing. I'm not sure what difference it made to the strength or if it was for heat dissipation.
