Oil pressure thread size

Post by tez »

Does anyone know what the thread size is on a 22r engine for the oil pressure sender switch?

Im about to fit a aftermarket oil pressure gauge and need to get a t piece so I can hook up the gauge and the oil pressure light on the dash.

Thanks

That ^^^ would be my guess but as ive been stuffing around with toyota intake manifold in the last week or so it could be a little bit bigger (dunno what its called but 1/8 bsp will fit and tighten lightly but is a bit small for it to be a permanent sort of thing, oil pressure fittings might be different)

I think a lot of oil and hydraulic fittings use NPT threads, slightly different.
BSP and NPT are close enough to get them mixed up, but might not thread in all the way and may not seal

go to someone like Pirtek or Enzed for the right one

The gauge has a 1/8 NPT as well so I hope the block has a 1/8 NPT thread too.
