Just replaced the factory deck, (double din radio/cassette deck) with the a Clarion CD tuner on a 1993 GXL L/Cruiser (4.5 litre petrol). The old deck wasn't working.
Went down to my local Repco store and purchased the harness adapters which converts the factory Toyota looms to a Clarion. Plugged it together and it all works perfectly except for the radio, which is dodgy. This points to the aerial. (I have plugged the aerial port into the back of the Clarion deck.)
When installing this adapter, there is a 2 wire loom that went into the factory deck but this is not connected to the Repco adapter? Would my aerial be powered in some way even though its non electric?
Any help would be great.
