300K from a tank in a 2h u must have a bloody small tank or a bodgy spedo or ya fuel gauge is crook ..
Ive got a 60 with a 3F the tank holds just over 80L 82 i think i get about 420 to 440 K out of my 80 od L of petrol which equates to about 20L per 100K which is very bad economy im looking at fitting a 2h to get better economy and if i turbo it il get as much if not more power than the poxy 3F ...

Don't bother estimating fuel economy using the 'km per tank' method.
Divide the number of liters required to fill the tank by number of hundreds of km traveled since last fill. Also keep in mind your odometer may be inaccurate (especially if running larger/smaller tyres from std)
i.e. I traveled 462km and put 72L of diesel in to fill the tank (the gauge shows empty at this point)
72 Liters / 4.62 hundred km = 15.58L/100km
I get 15-16L/100km in my 2H troopy. Running 37" Claws, 4.56 diff gears, intercooled BB turbo - use ODO on GPS (I could possible add 20+km due to the time the GPS takes to get signal)
If i drive easy-ish i get down into the high 14's.

Tetanus rolling on 37's
when the gauge was telling mt it was empty, i put about 55 liters in,
i was going to get a jerry can and run it dry to find out round a bout where it truely is, is there a problem with that? i know i would have to prime the diesel pump again, although if some one could tell me how to do that as i have never had to do it and haven't bought a manual for it yet.
i was asuming that 450 500 should be about right, my old 60 with 12ht got 800 out of a tank usualy,
its pretty much standard only running 33s, dont have a bull bar or anything, just the tray and work box so its not fully laden(or i would say any where close

On the drivers side of the engine you will se the injector pump, this will have 6 fuel lines coming out of the top, you will see a round plastic cap thing pointing straight at you turn it left till it unscrews fully, pull it out, look up and right a little and you will see your fuel filter, it will have a small bolt with a hole in the end facing you, 10mm spanner will sort it out, undo it just so it cracks open and diesel will come out, pump the primer cap you unscrewed earlier until the diesel flows smoothly, ie no air bubbles spitting out, close the 10mm bolt quickly to prevent any air getting in as your on a downstroke with the pump.Wambat wrote: if some one could tell me how to do that as i have never had to do it and haven't bought a manual for it yet.
Start it and see how it goes, if i does not run right, do this again.
If it still does not run right you will have to crack an injector half a turn will suffice on one pot, number 6 always has worked for me.
It will be a 17mm open end spanner needed for the job.
Do the same with the priming pump and then start it.
let it run till all the air has cleared and then do up the injector.
If any other experts have a different approach, or find me wrong, im happy to be corrected, but this way has worked for me so im talking on personal experience..
Get out there!!
just a quick q, what oil pressure should it be running at, at the moment when it starts it pretty much goes full high, although i understand that when cold the oil is thicker and harder to move around, i think this is a bit high, while driving at about 2000 rpm its just under the top line of the two in the center of the gauge, and when ideling when warm it sits on the lower side,
i want to know if its high enough that it cant wait until next week end for me to change, or if i should change it saturday,
