HJ60 air con layout with image

Post by glenxr650 »

I have fitted an original a/c kit supplied from a wrecker. When I install the belt it cannot be tensioned since it is too long. I measured an original belt and it is also too long. Am I missing an additional tension pulley?
The attached image is the arrangement I have:

I'd better spend some time in the test section and practice on attaching an image!

From memory on a 2H the belt goes crankshaft-compressor-ajustable idler-additional pully that was fitted to the water pump behind fluid coupling- back to crankshaft

I am only 99% sure this is correct as it is a long time since i fitted an a/c to one of these rockets

Email it to me as well if you want to sylviadon@hotmail.com & i will have a look

Regards Don

Yep, thats exactly the 2h layout. If you want I can get the belt numbers off the belt for you this afternoon when i get home from work, just to make sure you have the right belt. I replaced them recently, and repco's numbers on the system were wrong. Perhaps someone gave you the wrong belt along the way.
If you want a spare 60 for bits-

If you could get me the belt numbers that would be great. I think someone has given me the wrong belt from the start.
