try the chemtech diesel treatment.

Failing that, take it on a long hard run to really clean things up a bit

Drain fuel tank, flush everything & start agin.

Also replace the filter again as the dirty fuel left combined with the Nulon will have blocked that too.

Try this first before you do anything else.

Did you bleed the system correctly before you restarted?

Here in Panama we add either some outboard 2 cycle oil or some ATF to the diesel tank before a fill up. It's a trick learned from 18 wheeler and truck drivers...

I have heard that some truck drivers here add a small amount of petrol to diesel fuel to clear the injectors and I believe it can be reversed for a petrol engine.

Something to do with the change in viscosity of the fluid going through the injector.

Not sure if it is an urban myth but I have heard it a few times.

Generally an urban myth, deisel injectors run super high pressures & rely on the seal and shape the needle valve has. If there is any wear then the injector will not spray correctly.

Page 16 has a good overall diagram of a mechanical injection sytem, other than that, some light reading

If you have replaced the filter, now have good fuel in the tank and it still runs rough after a good run, then you have either pump and or injector troubles.
